William Fitzsimmons, 11 December, Borderline

William Fitzsimmons gave one of the greatest live performances I've ever seen, he's mesmerizing. He's a very chilled singer-song writer who has great interaction with the crowd, closest comparison is Bon Iver and it's some of the most beautiful music you will ever hear:

From that gig:
Walked into the crowd and acoustic version of 'So this is goodbye' http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=v34HGZvoNo0
Cover of 'King of wishful thinking' http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=H9MKipLv9Ww

Badly Drawn Boy at the Windmill, Brixton, 21 October

Badly Drawn boy is playing the windmill in Brickston, 21st October. Won the mercury music award in 2000, then did soundtrack for about a boy. It's classic singer songwriter, sometimes quite orchestral, he's funny, engaging - will be a great gig:

Glastonbury Line Up 2013 in a spreadsheet

Musos

Glastonbury festival coming up and as ever it's hard to decide what to see and how much to fit in, so I've created a spreadsheet of the key stages and highlighted the bands that are must sees (unfortunately there are quite a few clashes)

let me know what you think

Imogen Heap at the roundhouse

Imogen Heap has for the past 15 years been just below the radar, massively underrated. Remember how you felt the first time you heard Dido on Stan, (before you then where massively disappointed by her other music) - how honest, naked and personal it sounded - Imogen Heap created that; she was the original:

Let Go - Frou Frou, (one of my favourite songs of all time) http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=13WAhlE02ew
Blanket - with Urban Species - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZNt25o3zh5E
Hide and Seek - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UYIAfiVGluk (sampled by Jason Derulo for what you say) an entire song of only her voice, no other backing, it's incredible

£12, this will be an amazing ending to the weekend

Charlie Winston

Charlie Winston is relatively unknown in the UK, but is a Brit based in Paris, who has had a number one album and 2 number one singles. His style is fairly unique - part Daniel Merriwether, part Jamiroquai, part Newton Faulkner. His debut album was sensational and In your hands is one of the best songs of the past 5 years

Tickets are £18 or so ...

Jimmy Eat World

Jimmy Eat World are playing KoKo (one of my favourite venues) on Sunday 16th June - £22 + fees.

They're American rock/emo, if you like the Foo Fighters  ...

Will be amazing in such an intimate venue.
